Disabling offscreen check in the application

I am experiencing the problem described in the FAQ, when the offscreen 3D check crashes my Sweet Home 3D on printing. Running it from the FAQ link solves the problem, but it is slower. Is there a command line option I could pass in to my installed version to disable this check? I am running Linux, OpenSuse 11.0, java 1.6

I'm glad this solution was helpful for you. You're the first user to give some feedback about it.
How can you know it's slower since it didn't work before?

Yes, add the following option to the java command:

-Dcom.eteks.sweethome3d.j3d.checkOffScreenSupport=false

Re: Disabling offscreen check in the application

What I should have said, SweetHome seems slower to draw things on the plan when it is executing with Java web start rather than on command line - I am not sure why, but just things seem less responsive in the plan, and pictures take slightly longer to appear. It was only crashing on printing, and when I passed the argument you suggested on the command line, it worked just fine for me, thanks.
